"account": "Human Rights Watch has raised concerns over the Australian government's handling of 13 Australians detained in Iraqi prisons on suspicion of ties to the Islamic State group. The group warns these individuals face inhumane treatment and potential execution, accusing the Albanese government of outsourcing responsibility by not repatriating the men. The 13 were among almost 5,700 men and boys transferred to Iraq from Syria in 2022. Iraqi authorities have acknowledged a history of torture and unlawful executions within their prison system, raising doubts about the fairness of the impending trials. HRW's senior counterterrorism adviser, Letta Tayler, stated that while Iraq has expressed a commitment to fair trials, the country's past record of violations casts doubt on whether these trials can truly be impartial.",
