"account": "Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has highlighted the pressing issue of a lack of accountability in modern societies, including democracies, as a root cause for the country's problems. In an address at the Khazanah Megatrends Forum 2026, the Prime Minister emphasized that this lack of accountability is evident in unfair trade practices, unilateral imposition of tariffs, and persistent injustices. He stressed that this failure to hold those in power genuinely accountable is the foundation of the country's issues. Khazanah Nasional Bhd managing director Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir, who attended the event, noted that the forum's theme was \"watching the watchmen.\" Amirul stressed the importance of accountability among those entrusted with power on behalf of the public, such as governments, central banks, and commercial firms. However, a key question remains: how can we effectively hold these entities accountable?",
