"account": "Up to 500 schools in France may be partially or fully closed on Monday due to student protests, according to education minister Édouard Geffray. Lessons will be suspended at 400 to 500 high schools as security conditions have not been met, Geffray stated. Additionally, 24 schools have been burned or ransacked since the protests began. The demonstrations, which started last week and have spread from Paris to cities like Montpellier, Nantes, and Marseille, are centered around education standards and issues such as a lack of teachers, overcrowded classrooms, and outdated buildings. French Justice Minister Gérald Darmanin reported on Friday that 735 of France's 3,700 schools had been affected by the protests in some way. Geffray accused far-left activists of infiltrating the student movement and engaging in violent actions, which he warned could threaten both staff and students. A total of 78 education staff members were injured during the protests, with French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez reporting that 1,747 people were arrested on Friday. The protesters have called for demonstrations to continue on Tuesday, criticizing the government for lacking \"concrete measures.\" Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced further steps to address the challenges faced by high school students and educators, including ensuring classes continue, improving facilities, and making the university admissions platform more transparent. The government is also accelerating the review of its \"vandal-pays\" bill to hold individuals responsible for damage accountable for their actions.",
