"account": "A US Marine, Devin Jacob Ballard, 20, has been arrested in connection with the murder of Yagi Anna, 39, whose body was discovered in a hotel in Naha City, Okinawa, Japan, local officials reported. Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi characterized the crime as \"brutal and heinous,\" urging the US to enforce stricter discipline among its personnel. NHK, Japan's public broadcaster, identified the victim and the suspect, stating that the Marine Corps is \"actively cooperating with Japanese authorities in response to allegations of serious criminal actions by a Marine\" and has extended condolences to the victim's family. Japanese Defence Minister Shinjiro Koizumi expressed strong indignation over the incident, calling it \"utterly inexcusable\" and emphasizing that such events cause significant anxiety to the local community. The US Embassy in Tokyo confirmed it was fully cooperating with the Japanese government and local police, while Japan's foreign ministry summoned US Ambassador George Glass to discuss the incident on Sunday. Okinawa Governor Genta Koja criticized the prefecture's repeated calls for the US to take action to prevent such incidents, stating that the alleged crime suggests a lack of discipline among the US military and that efforts to educate personnel are ineffective.",
