"account": "The Israeli military announced on Monday that it had killed a suspected infiltrator at an army outpost in southern Syria. IDF soldiers identified a suspect attempting to breach an IDF post within the Security Zone, as reported in a statement from the Israeli Defense Forces. The soldiers swiftly engaged the suspect, eliminating him without any injury to their own personnel. This incident comes amid the rise of Islamist Ahmad al-Chareh to power in Damascus in late 2024, following his rebel coalition's overthrow of Bashar al-Assad. In response, Israel has launched hundreds of strikes against Syria, carried out incursions into the Golan Heights, and deployed troops in the UN-monitored buffer zone separating Israeli and Syrian forces. Israel has repeatedly stated its intention to maintain a presence in the security area, aiming to establish a larger demilitarised zone.",
