"account": "Northern senators have called for an immediate military offensive to drive out insurgents from the Kopre-Sambisa corridor in Adamawa State following recent attacks. The attacks on two military battalions on Wednesday and Thursday killed soldiers, a forest guard, and civilians. The Northern Senators Forum, represented by Abdulaziz Yar’Adua, made the demand in a statement on Sunday. The senator emphasized that the attacks affected multiple communities across Hong and Gombi local government areas and were not just an assault on Adamawa, but on the North and the entire nation. He called for the reinforcement of troops in the area and condemned the attacks, which targeted military bases and resulted in the killing of civilians, burning of places of worship, and displacement of hundreds of families. The senator urged the Federal Government, Defence Headquarters, and National Emergency Management Agency to provide relief materials to the affected residents and requested that they continue to provide security agencies with information to prevent further attacks.",
