"account": "The United Kingdom's Green party has voted to label Zionism as racism at its annual conference, sparking significant controversy. The motion, passed with 1,022 votes in favor and 813 against, defines Zionism as any other form of racism and supports the establishment of a single democratic Palestinian state. This move has drawn harsh criticism from British Jewish groups, the ruling Labour Party, and Israel's government. The Greens, led by charismatic Zack Polanski, have seen a surge in popularity under his guidance. However, Polanski's recent popularity has been impacted by several missteps, including this contentious decision. Opposition groups have called the decision a disgrace and a serious blow to the safety and welfare of British Jews. Israel's president, Isaac Herzog, also condemned the move, calling it a disgrace and emphasizing the Zionist movement's right to a state. Despite at least three out of five Green MPs opposing the motion, Polanski defended the decision, stating that the displacement and genocide of the Palestinian people are clearly racist acts.",
