"account": "Residents of Ifedola Estate in Lagos State have expressed frustration over the prolonged delay in completing a drainage project, which has adversely affected the roads in their community. The construction began more than three years ago but remains incomplete, causing difficulties during the rainy season. Kenny Bamgbose, a resident, highlighted that the government needs to expedite the project and ensure it is completed properly. He emphasized that the project began approximately four years ago and stressed the need for the government to monitor the contractor to ensure high-quality work. Oluwaseyi Ogunbo, the Chairman of the Ifedola Meiran Community Development Area, stated that the project had been ongoing for over three years, with an initial completion period of 12 months. He explained that the first contractor had made significant progress, but the project was later reassigned to another contractor, resulting in a delay. The current contractor has excavated sections of the roads and left heaps of laterite and sand, further obstructing traffic. Residents have resorted to self-help efforts to improve the situation, but the quality of work has reportedly declined.",
