"account": "The Dangote Group has emphasized the significance of domestic production in bolstering Nigeria’s economic resilience. Mr Abdullahi Bello Danmusa, Group General Manager, represented the Regional Director/Senior Adviser to the Dangote Group President/CEO, Fatima Wali-Abdurrahman, at the Dangote Special Day during the Abuja International Trade Fair. Speaking about the theme \"Resilience: Trade, Taxation and the Economy,\" Danmusa highlighted taxation's crucial role in national development, stating that the Dangote Group fulfilled its tax obligations faithfully while supporting employment, enterprise, and value creation in its operations. Danmusa stressed that trade could have a more substantial impact when supported by strong domestic production. He explained, \"Trade becomes more meaningful when it is supported by production. No country can build lasting resilience by depending excessively on imports that it has the capacity to produce competitively at home.\" The Group continues to invest in manufacturing and industrial capacity in sectors such as cement, sugar, salt, seasoning, packaging, fertiliser, petrochemicals, and petroleum refining. Danmusa pointed out that strengthening domestic manufacturing would deepen economic activity, create jobs, support local enterprises, and reduce reliance on imported products. The Dangote Special Day featured discussions on the themes of resilience, trade, taxation, and economic development, bringing together business leaders, government officials, investors, and stakeholders.",
