"summary": "German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has pledged funding for tens of thousands of Quantum Systems interceptor drones to bolster Ukraine's defense capabilities in 2026/2027. Quantum Systems, an aerial intelligence company, is developing these interceptor drones in collaboration with Ukraine's WIY Drones, with the aim of countering the evolving aerial threat posed by faster, jet-powered Russian attack drones. The interceptor drones will be manufactured in Ukraine, leveraging the country's frontline experience and German industrial capabilities to scale production and provide crucial counter-drone defense to Ukraine.",
