"account": "Adrian Meronk triumphed at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 2026, claiming victory by two strokes at the Old Course in St Andrews. The Polish golfer was seen weeping with joy upon securing the win, expressing his elation and calling it a \"dream come true\" after a decade of playing professionally. Meronk finished the tournament at 20-under par, after posting a final round of 68. He capitalized on Casey Jarvis' poor performance in the final round, where Jarvis struggled to maintain his two-shot lead. Meronk started off strongly, with three birdies in the opening five holes on the penultimate round, and added two more birdies at the 12th and 14th holes. Jarvis managed to recover slightly at the 15th hole, but a bogey on the 17th left Meronk as the clubhouse leader. Meronk's victory marked his fifth DP World Tour title, and his first since 2023. He is among the DP World Tour members allowed to compete in LIV Golf tournaments under the 2026 Conditional Release Agreement. Denmark's Niklas Norgaard and Tommy Fleetwood secured the second and third places, respectively.",
