"account": "Kenyan journalist and filmmaker Bea Wangondu is set to screen her documentary 'Kikuyu Land' at the NBO Film Festival, drawing attention to the country's ongoing land disputes. The film, co-directed by Emmy Award-winner Andrew H. Brown, explores a land claimant's struggle for justice and exposes a history of colonial dispossession. Following its Sundance premiere, the documentary will premiere in Kenya from October 15-25. Wangondu, who sees filmmaking as a responsibility, describes the film's upcoming Kenyan homecoming as significant. The festival's theme, 'Cinema For Us', emphasizes the importance of African cinema telling its own stories. Wangondu hopes the film will provoke introspection and conversations among Kenyan audiences about land repatriation, accountability, and justice.",
