"summary": "The US has withdrawn all bombers from the RAF Fairford air base in the UK, following an alleged plot targeting the facility. The Pentagon confirmed that all twelve B-1B Lancer bombers, previously stationed at Fairford, have returned to their home bases in the United States. The decision to remove the bombers was made in response to the arrest of five British nationals and a suspect of Iranian citizenship near the base, who were suspected of involvement in the plot. While the US intelligence officials are confident in their assessment, British authorities have not officially concluded that Iran was behind the incident. The base had previously served as a crucial forward base for US bombers during the Iran-Iraq war, with B-1 and B-52 aircraft deploying there in March and conducting strike missions against Iran.",
