"summary": "The Nigerian Army has restructured by transferring 17 Brigade from 8 Division to 1 Division as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen command and improve operational effectiveness. This expansion, approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has transformed the Army's structure from eight to 12 divisions, with the aim of enhancing operational coordination and better responding to security threats, particularly in the North-West region. Major General Abubakar Saddique Muhammed Wase, the General Officer Commanding 1 Division, emphasized that the realignment would optimize the Army's command architecture, improve operational fluidity, and sharpen the response to evolving security threats.",
