"account": "The Oyo State Government announced that Monday, October 5, 2026, will be a work-free day for all teachers in the region to celebrate World Teachers Day. This decision was outlined in a statement from the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Musibau Babatunde. Sulaimon Olarenwaju, the Governor's Special Adviser on Media, explained that the gesture is in recognition of the crucial role teachers play in the state's educational system and overall human capital development. The administration aims to enhance the welfare and professional growth of teachers by offering them a day to engage in World Teachers Day activities, reflect on sectoral achievements, and foster unity within the teaching community. The government commended the teachers on this occasion and pledged continued support for policies that improve teaching and learning across Oyo State. Notably, Kwara and Ekiti states have also declared the same day as a work-free day for their educators.",
