"account": "Photographer Santiago Pérez Rincón captured a striking image of an endangered Yellow-eared Parrot in a natural valley of Tolima, Colombia. The bird's survival depends on the wax palm, which is found in some of the country's last remaining wax palm forests. Despite the urgent need for conservation efforts, multinational corporations continue to clear these ecosystems for monoculture avocado plantations. Rincón hopes his photograph highlights the plight of the parrot and the fragile balance between human development and wildlife preservation. The Audubon Photography Awards recognized the image in the Conservation category, with the judge praising the work for its poignant message and stunning composition.",
