"account": "The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has urged the Ogun State Government to convert the Gateway Industrial and Petro-Gas Institute (GIPI) from a monotechnic to a full-fledged polytechnic. NANS Secretary-General Oladimeji Uthman made the call in a statement on Sunday, highlighting the institute's potential to expand its academic mandate, offer more courses, and produce skilled manpower for Ogun State and Nigeria's emerging sectors. Uthman expressed concern over the prolonged neglect, underfunding, and poor welfare of GIPI's staff, calling for adequate funding, improved infrastructure, staff recruitment, and welfare along with the accreditation of relevant courses.",
