"account": "As you step inside the opulent Mumbai residence of Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput, your eyes are immediately drawn to a striking black staircase that forms the centerpiece of the home. This dramatic geometric staircase, made up of bold shapes, serves as a visual anchor and transforms the otherwise soft interiors into an architectural statement. Architect Manoj Goyal notes that staircase designs in large Indian homes are increasingly being treated as sculptural elements, rather than merely providing vertical circulation.\n\nThe rest of the house adopts a more subdued palette of whites, creams, warm wood, black and earthy neutrals, which are balanced by natural light and lush greenery. Textured upholstery, plush rugs and wooden elements introduce warmth to the space without overpowering its clean lines. Mira Kapoor expresses her love for art throughout the residence, with pieces ranging from a Yuvan Bothysathuvar painting to a commissioned work by Subodh Kerkar. These artworks don't appear as mere embellishments but rather as essential components that infuse the home with personality and emotional depth.\n\nThe couple has embraced a playful approach to furniture design, featuring pieces with unusual silhouettes, sculptural bases and unexpected details that add moments of surprise to the restrained interior. Goyal emphasizes the importance of balance, stating that when a room has a simple palette, statement furniture can be introduced without overwhelming the space. The Kapoors' collection of artistic carpets and rugs further underscores this principle, with designs that focus on texture and tonal variation to complement the surrounding stone, wood and glass surfaces.",
