"account": "The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council has called for an explanation from Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum regarding a viral video where allegedly he ordered the arrest and detention of anyone expressing the slogan \"Tinubu Must Go\". The council expressed concern, given Zulum's recent denial of ordering such arrests. In a statement, the council demanded that Zulum clarify the video's contents and address its conflict with his earlier denial. They questioned whether peaceful critics of President Bola Tinubu might face arrest merely for expressing their political views. The statement emphasized that peaceful political expression is protected under democratic principles, and no governor has the right to criminalize such opinions. The council stressed that if authorities have credible evidence of a separate offense, it should be presented in court, following due process. They urged Zulum to withdraw any directive targeting peaceful protesters and to guarantee that no one would be arrested solely for opposing President Tinubu. The controversy arises as opposition groups intensify their activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, using rallies, slogans, and social media to mobilize supporters and criticize the Tinubu administration.",
