"account": "Ethiopian government forces and allied militias have reestablished control over Mekelle, the capital of Tigray, according to multiple Reuters sources on Sunday. This development represents a significant setback for the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF), the opposition alliance that governs the northern region. The TPLF announced on Facebook that it had withdrawn from Mekelle and that the regional government would temporarily relocate from the city.\n\nA source familiar with the pro-government militia known as the Tigray Peace Forces reported that their fighters entered Mekelle's city center on Saturday afternoon, followed by the Ethiopian military. Independent witnesses, including a humanitarian worker and a local resident in Mekelle, have confirmed that the city is now under government control. However, the prime minister's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the matter.",
