"summary": "Two people have tragically died and another is missing after torrential rain and flooding hit Catalonia, in north-eastern Spain. Catalan regional president Salvador Illa confirmed the second death in a social media post, while firefighters reported that the missing individual had been swept away by a stream in Pineda de Mar, a town north of Barcelona. The Catalan Civil Protection has issued new emergency alerts to residents in several affected counties, urging them to avoid non-essential journeys while travel restrictions remain in place.",
