"account": "Aaron Sorkin, the acclaimed screenwriter behind \"The Social Network,\" pondered the impact of Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg's rise, remarking, \"Maybe we can't handle the truth.\" Sorkin, who won an Oscar for his work on the film, is now revisiting the world of Facebook and Zuckerberg in his new movie, \"The Social Reckoning.\" The film, inspired by Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen, portrays the unintended consequences of the social media giant, including disinformation, extremism, and division. Sorkin highlights how Facebook's algorithm amplified anger-inducing content, exacerbating these issues. Frances Haugen, who leaked internal Facebook documents to the Wall Street Journal in 2021, views Mark Zuckerberg's journey as a tragic one. Haugen believes that Zuckerberg, who became powerful at 19, isolated himself from consequences for two decades, causing harm to others. The movie opens as Sorkin's first Broadway play, \"A Few Good Men,\" returns to the stage, further exploring the theme of truth and its handling.",
