"account": "On October 2, 2026, a group of All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains petitioned the party's National Working Committee (NWC) to impose sanctions on former Benue State Chairman, Austin Agada. The group accused Agada of publicly endorsing candidates from other political parties, including PDP Senator Abba Moro for the 2027 senatorial election and Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia for the 2027 governorship election. The group also claimed that Agada had publicly stated he would not campaign for the APC governorship candidate, Rev. Fr. Alia. Additionally, the group alleged that Agada was involved with the Rainbow Coalition, a group comprising the PDP, Social Democratic Party, Labour Party, and Nigerian Democratic Congress. The petitioners urged the NWC to set up an investigative panel to probe the allegations against Agada and called for transparency in the outcome of the investigation and any imposed sanctions.",
