"account": "Miracles Aboagye has been named the new Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The appointment was made unanimously at the party's National Delegates Conference held at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on October 3, 2026. He succeeds Richard Ahiagbah in the role. Aboagye is not a newcomer to the NPP's communications team. He previously served as the spokesperson for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia during the party's 2024 presidential campaign, a position that involved managing campaign messages and defending the party's policies leading up to the 2024 general elections. Prior to that, Aboagye worked in the government under former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, holding key roles such as a presidential staffer for Local Government and Decentralisation, and serving as the Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation. This appointment is significant as it comes amid a restructuring of the NPP's structures following their loss in the 2024 general elections. Aboagye will now steer the party's communications strategy as it gears up for the 2028 general elections.",
