"account": "On Sunday, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived in Kyiv, Ukraine's capital, amid escalating Russian attacks. The city was shaken by air raid sirens and explosions as Merz visited to demonstrate support for President Volodymyr Zelensky. He announced a package of measures, including 1 billion euros in military aid and 350 million euros for energy sector repairs. A deal for joint production of drones is also expected to be finalized. Merz stated that Russia's aggression would eventually target European nations if left unchecked and promised continued support to Ukraine. Four air raid alerts were heard in Kyiv on Sunday, with explosions and air defense systems sounding throughout the day. One Russian strike hit the Northern Bridge, damaging its roadway and a hot water supply system. Russia has been targeting Kyiv's bridges to disrupt logistics and connections between the capital's districts. The German delegation includes Economy Minister Katherina Reiche and executives from various defense technology companies. Merz also plans to push for progress on EU-requested Ukrainian reforms, including anti-corruption efforts. Zelensky had previously confirmed that Germany would soon finalize a deal for drone production, with a focus on anti-jet drones and long-range weapons.",
