"account": "MILWAUKEE (AP) — Ty France swung at a pitch, believing he had hit a two-run homer that would put the San Diego Padres ahead against the Milwaukee Brewers in their NL Division Series opener. However, the ball struck a cable on the roof of American Family Field and landed in the glove of Brewers left fielder Jackson Chourio for the second out of the inning. The play marked the first time in 25 years that the stadium's roof had affected such a crucial play. Padres manager Craig Stammen joked that it was unlikely the ball would have hit the roof, but it did, leading to a bizarre 3-2 victory for Milwaukee. The Brewers secured the early lead in the best-of-five series, with closer Trevor Megill completing a four-out save by retiring Jackson Merrill. France, who had a strong launch angle on the drive, expressed disappointment at not being able to celebrate a home run.",
