"account": "NAGOYA, Japan - South Korean fencer Oh Sang-uk, who secured two gold medals in men's fencing at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, was voted the MVP of the South Korean delegation on Sunday. This recognition was decided by members of the South Korean media covering the continental competition across central Japan. The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (KSOC) began acknowledging their top athletes at multisports competitions since the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games. Upon winning, Oh will receive a sum of 30 million won (US$22,240) in recognition of his achievement.\n\nIn the men's sabre fencing event, Oh managed to secure his second consecutive gold medal while overcoming both lower back and ankle injuries. The Korean athlete claimed his victory on September 26 during the men's team final. The team event operates on a 45-point system, with the first side to reach this threshold declared the winner. In the sabre team final against Japan, South Korea trailed by a score of 40-39, plunging the team into a precarious position upon the final bout between Oh and Mao Kokubo. However, in a remarkable turn of events, Oh managed to score four consecutive points, turning the tide of the match and securing a hard-fought victory for South Korea.",
