"account": "Two friends, Kwame Asare and Bismark Kobby, have been fined GHS 6,000 each for stealing from a businessman in Bonteso, Amansie West District. The friends, both unemployed and aged 20, pleaded guilty to conspiracy and stealing before the Nkawie Circuit Court in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of the Ashanti Region. Convicted on their own pleas, they face a three-month prison term if they fail to pay the fine. The theft occurred on September 05, 2026, when the convicts allegedly stole an excavator engine blade, control board, and other items valued at GHS 144,000 from the businessman, Nana Osei Kwadwo. The police recovered the convicts with the help of neighbors and handed them over to the Ahwerewa police. In their confession, the convicts admitted to the theft, attributing it to extreme hunger in Bonteso, and reported that they sold the stolen items for GHS 6,500 to an unidentified individual now at large.",
