"account": "NPP party leader Justin Kodua is confident he will be re-elected as the General Secretary for a second term. Speaking at the NPP National Delegates Conference in Kumasi on October 4, Mr Kodua shared that feedback from delegates across Ghana's 16 regions suggested he would face little to no competition in the election. \"There is no competition,\" he stated, emphasizing that the delegates' feedback was both emotional and genuine. Mr Kodua credited his campaign efforts across the country for the positive reception and expressed gratitude to party members for their confidence in his leadership. The General Secretary position is one of several national executive roles being decided by the delegates at the conference. While four candidates, including Kodua, Eugene Boakye Antwi, Sylvester Tetteh, and Dr Charles Dwamena, were listed for the position, Mr Kodua stressed that his re-election would likely serve as an affirmation of his leadership. He also hinted at the party's long-term vision, stating his belief that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia would eventually become the president of Ghana in the 2028 general election. If re-elected, Kodua pledged to collaborate with the other national executives, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, discipline, and hard work to prepare the party for the upcoming election.",
