"summary": "India and Pakistan have summoned their top diplomats over a border incident that occurred on October 2, 2025. India rejected Pakistan's allegation that Indian forces had killed two unarmed Pakistani civilians, stating that the individuals had crossed illegally into Indian territory. Pakistan summoned India's chargé d'affaires to lodge a protest and called for an immediate, transparent, and credible investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, India's foreign ministry accused Pakistan of facilitating illegal cross-border infiltration from its side and urged Islamabad to investigate the issue of cross-border infiltration and drug-smuggling activities. The strained relations between the two nuclear-armed nations have been exacerbated by a four-day war in 2025 and a militant attack on tourists in Indian Kashmir that killed 26 people.",
