"account": "In Marang, a tragic scene unfolded as a 43-year-old man named Mohd Nasir Ismail lost his life after being brutally beaten with a hammer by his younger brother, Affendi, who has a history of mental health issues. The incident occurred at their family home in Kampung Tasek.\n\nNasir, the eldest of nine siblings, sustained severe head injuries during the attack, which resulted in his fatal demise. His 36-year-old sister, Rurazmiza, was injured while trying to separate the two fighting siblings.\n\nThe victim's mother, Hasnah Sulong, 63, recounted the events that led to the tragedy. She was resting in the living room when she heard screams coming from the rear of the house, followed by the sound of heavy striking. Alarmed, Hasnah summoned her husband, Ismail Ibrahim, 80, who was outside. Upon entering the house, he found Nasir lying in a pool of blood, suffering from catastrophic head trauma.\n\nHasnah identified Affendi, 42, as the suspect involved in the attack. She has a history of mental illness, which has been a recurring issue in the family. Notably, 12 years ago, the same son inflicted a stab wound on her husband, though the family continued to live with and care for him.\n\nMarang District Police Chief Superintendent Saari Mohamed confirmed the incident, stating that investigations are ongoing.",
