"account": "Vice President Kashim Shettima met with President Bola Tinubu at the latter's residence in Lagos after the President returned from a trip to the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Shettima assured journalists that he had been in constant contact with Tinubu throughout his stay abroad. He stated that technological advancements have enabled leaders to manage governance effectively from any location. Shettima defended recent economic decisions, such as the removal of petrol subsidies and the unification of foreign exchange rates, urging citizens to remain patient while the government implements measures to alleviate economic hardships. He noted that the country's foreign reserves were at a low $3.9 billion when Tinubu assumed office, which was insufficient to import fuel for a month. Shettima highlighted Tinubu's courage and conviction in implementing reforms, stating that the President has \"saved the economy.\" The Vice President announced an upcoming e-logistics project in the North-East, involving 10,600 electric tricycles, 300 buses, and e-taxis, as well as further interventions to support students and vulnerable citizens. Addressing upcoming political dynamics, Shettima said the administration would balance governance with politics as the 2027 general elections approach, emphasizing that politics and governance would be combined.",
