"account": "Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has launched a direct challenge to President Bola Tinubu, taking his \"Reset Nigeria\" campaign to Katsina and Nasarawa states in the North. As the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation dismissed Tinubu's Independence Day address as a \"rhetorical exercise\" that failed to address Nigeria's economic hardship, poverty, and insecurity. The campaign cited the removal of petrol subsidy and floating of the naira as exacerbating the cost of living, while accusing the administration of failing to provide specific, measurable, and binding commitments on the economy and national security. Makinde and Daura have initiated town hall meetings to gather citizens' views and incorporate their concerns into the campaign's manifesto, emphasizing direct engagement with communities affected by economic and security crises.",
