"account": "The Federal Government plans to digitally select 14 teachers for the 2026 President's Teachers' and Schools Excellence Awards. This change aims to enhance transparency, accountability, and documentation in recognizing exceptional educators. The Minister of State for Education, Prof Suwaiba Sa'id Ahmad, disclosed this during a statement, emphasizing that the digital process will strengthen trust in the recognition of top teachers and schools. Ahmad highlighted the selection process's collaboration with state ministries of education and adherence to African Union guidelines. The program aligns with the theme of World Teachers' Day 2026, which focuses on transforming the teaching profession. Ahmad identified innovation, mobility, artificial intelligence, inclusion, and professional excellence as the five interconnected pillars of discussion. She assured that technology would complement, not diminish, teachers' roles, stressing the importance of maintaining their professional judgment while providing them with necessary digital skills. The 2026 event will also feature a symposium with education stakeholders to explore practical ways to strengthen the teaching profession.",
