"summary": "Voting is currently underway at the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) National Delegates Conference in Kumasi, Ghana. Delegates are casting their ballots to elect the party's next national executives at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. According to Adom Online, this process is part of the party's efforts to reorganize its structures and prepare for the 2028 general election.\n\nDr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP's 2024 running mate, expressed confidence in the delegates' ability to make the right choice, stating that the democratic process within the party should be respected and trusted to produce the best outcome. He also noted that Ghana's elections have always been highly competitive, but was optimistic about the party's chances in the next election cycle, as reported by 3News.\n\nA stampede broke out among the crowds attending the conference, resulting in at least three people sustaining injuries, MyJoyOnline Ghana reported. The affected individuals were taken to the Kumasi South Hospital for medical attention, while others received treatment at temporary medical points established within the conference grounds. The incident prompted police officers to step up crowd control efforts to prevent further congestion.",
