"account": "Greetings to all assembled here, the esteemed delegates of the National Democratic Congress National Delegates Conference in Kumasi. It is an honor to stand before you, the steadfast supporters of our great party, spanning across the various facets of our nation.\n\nToday signifies a transition, both a conclusion to a chapter and commencement of a new era in our party's storied history as we embark on the quest to select new national executives to guide us to triumph in the 2028 elections. To those serving their term today, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for their dedication, particularly for guiding us through a challenging period marked by electoral setbacks and the successful party restructuring.\n\nWe extend special recognition to our Acting National Chairman, Danquah Smith Buttey, for his calm leadership during a critical juncture. Moreover, our tribute extends to Bernard Antwi Boasiako, former Chairman of the Ashanti Region, for his unwavering commitment and service. We also appreciate the years of devoted service to our party by our National Chairman, Stephen Ayesu Ntim, from the grassroots to the highest echelons.\n\nAs we stand on the shoulders of great leaders like President John Agyekum Kufuor and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, whose policies – including the National Health Insurance, free maternal health care, school feeding, and free senior high school – have left an indelible mark on Ghana, we remember their legacy.\n\nThe platform today is for choosing our leaders through democratic processes. While differing views may foster heated exchanges, at the end of the day, we embrace the principles of democracy. Forty-seven members have volunteered for the nine national offices, showcasing the wealth of talent within our ranks.\n\nHowever, this is merely an internal selection process to identify a few from a pool of qualified aspirants who will serve our collective goal of restoring the people's trust and serving Ghana more effectively. So, once the votes are cast, the contest should conclude. To our victorious nominees, extend your congratulations to fellow contestants. And to those who did not succeed, know that the party still has a place for you – there is work for all of us.\n\nSince December 2024, in our reformation journey, we have listened to the voices of Ghanaians in various spheres – from markets, streets, farms, offices, and campuses. The insights gained have been instrumental in shaping our party's restructure, reflected in our improved organizational practices and policy-making.\n\nAmong these reforms, the decision to conduct early presidential primaries stands out, and I had the privilege of being elected as the party's presidential candidate. The reformation process is now underway, evident in the smooth election of our executives and the preparation of our 2028 policy agenda.",
