"account": "Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) 2024 running mate, expressed confidence in the wisdom of the delegates to determine the outcome of the party's national executive elections during the NPP National Delegates Conference in Kumasi on October 3. Dr. Prempeh, known as Napo, stated that he had no personal interest in the elections and left the decision-making process entirely to the delegates, emphasizing that the democratic process should be respected and trusted to produce the best outcome. He believed that the wisdom of the masses would prevail, noting that delegates from across the country had gathered to shape the party's future direction and that every vote cast would contribute to strengthening the NPP ahead of future elections. Dr. Prempeh addressed concerns about the party's prospects in the 2028 general election, acknowledging that Ghana's elections have always been highly competitive, but expressed confidence in the party's chances in the next election cycle. He also expressed support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's future political ambitions, expressing belief that Bawumia and the NPP would lead Ghana from 2029 onward. Dr. Prempeh expressed satisfaction with the way party supporters, delegates, and candidates have conducted themselves so far during the conference.",
