"summary": "Chairmanship aspirant Sammy Crabbe has clarified his decision to align with John Boadu, stating it was not a withdrawal from the race but rather an alliance aimed at promoting unity of purpose within the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Crabbe explained that discussions with Boadu and consultations with his team and supporters led to the arrangement, with the goal of combining their respective programmes and experience in party management. The clarification follows a post by Boadu on X, formerly Twitter, which indicated that Crabbe had stepped down from the race and endorsed him. Crabbe's subsequent signed statement described the arrangement as an alliance, urging his supporters to vote for Boadu while pledging to work alongside him to implement their programmes. The NPP is holding its National Delegates Conference at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, where delegates are voting to elect nine national executive officers.",
