"summary": "Israel has been urged to investigate a recent incident involving flydubai flight FZ1073. According to Haaretz, despite the heroic efforts of passengers and other pilots that prevented a disaster, Israel still needs to thoroughly investigate the incident and identify those responsible for the failure.\n\nThe Jerusalem Post reported that Israel's Tax Authority had received a full list of passengers and crew on board the flight prior to its departure from Dubai, as part of a standard procedure required by Knesset legislation passed in 2023. The Mossad also has access to such manifests, though it generally does not review them.\n\nThe pilot suspected of attempting to hijack the flight, Hamam al-Hammami, was previously banned from flying by Omani authorities due to concerns about his radical ideological views. According to The Wall Street Journal, al-Hammami was hired by flydubai despite these concerns, though it is unclear if the airline knew about the issue. Al-Hammami is cooperating with the investigation, as reported by ABC News, after being detained by Saudi authorities in Tabuk and returned to the United Arab Emirates.",
