"account": "A large crowd gathered at Cape Town’s Sea Point Promenade for a pro-Palestine rally, braving windy conditions. British journalist and political activist Yvonne Ridley and former British MP George Galloway attended the event as part of their South African People Power Tour. Ridley emphasized the growing momentum in support of the Palestinian cause, drawing a personal connection to the October 7th, 2026, date that marked her capture by the Taliban. She recalled the day as a reminder of the brutal regime's cruelty. Galloway echoed Ridley’s sentiments, comparing South Africa’s fight against apartheid to the Palestinian struggle. He likened the oppressive conditions in Gaza, Jerusalem, and Palestine to the infamous Robben Island prison, emphasizing the deep-rooted injustice faced by Palestinians. The Palestine Solidarity Campaign joined the rally, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people.",
