"account": "Christa Pike remains unconscious and on a ventilator following a failed execution attempt in Tennessee. Commissioner Frank Strada resigned days after the incident, citing his commitment to an independent review of the botched procedure, according to Governor Bill Lee. The governor accepted Strada's resignation, stating that the commissioner's resignation was in the best interest of Tennesseans as the review was deemed necessary. Strada has served with integrity, according to the governor. Pike's legal team, including attorneys Randy Spivey, Kelly Gleason, Stephen Ferrell, and Luke Ihnen, disagreed with Strada's decision to step down, asserting that the resignation does not address the systemic issues that led to Pike's current condition. They hope the independent review will reveal the deeper problems within Tennessee's death penalty system.",
