"account": "Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has criticized the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) for failing to deliver on many of the promises it made to Ghanaians prior to the 2024 general elections. Speaking at the NPP’s National Delegates Conference in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3, Bawumia stated that the NDC came into power with lofty promises but has yet to fulfill many of the commitments it had made to voters.\n\nOne of the promises that Bawumia highlighted was the government’s 24-hour economy initiative. He claimed that despite being a key campaign policy, this initiative has not yet translated into the expected outcomes for Ghanaians. Bawumia’s criticism aligns with earlier concerns raised by other members of the NPP about the pace at which the NDC is implementing its flagship policies.\n\nBawumia’s remarks come as the NPP prepares for the next general election and emphasizes the need for the party to remain focused on rebuilding and strengthening itself. He also called on NPP members to unite in their efforts to meet the party’s objectives.",
