"account": "Mike Patton brought Mondo Cane, his project featuring Italian pop songs from the 1950s and 60s, to Mexico for the first time on October 1. The band took to the stage at Mexico City's Palacio de Bellas Artes for an encore performance. Midway through their rendition of \"Retrovertigo,\" a song by Mr. Bungle, Mariachi Gama 1000 joined Patton on stage. They stayed for the remainder of the set, performing Mexican classics \"La Llorona,\" \"Luz de Luna,\" and \"Hasta Que Te Conocí.\" The performance of Juan Gabriel's cover was especially significant as the Mexican pop icon had performed numerous concerts at Bellas Artes in 1990, while Mariachi Gama 1000 had a long-standing connection with him. On this night, Mondo Cane continued their tour, playing in Guanajuato as part of the 54th Festival Internacional Cervantino. The video footage from Thursday's event is available below.",
