"account": "Severe flooding in the southeastern Spanish town of Madrigueras has claimed the life of a 102-year-old woman, according to regional authorities. The town, with a population of approximately 4,000, is situated near Albacete in the Castilla-La Mancha autonomous community. Rescue operations were carried out for 90 individuals affected by the flooding. The elderly woman's body was discovered in her residence, following floodwaters that reached a depth of one meter. The floods were triggered by continuous heavy rainfall on Friday, with Madrigueras receiving around 140 liters per square meter. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez expressed condolences to the family of the deceased woman via a post on social media platform X. Meteorological authorities predict that heavy rainfall will persist in eastern Spain until Sunday. This flooding episode follows a series of deadly wildfires in Spain, which were precipitated by prolonged hot and dry weather conditions during the summer.",
