"account": "Sarawak is set to implement a new affordable housing model for the M40 income group in select urban areas, as declared by Premier Abang Johari Openg. The initiative aims to address the growing challenge of land scarcity and rising property prices in cities like Kuching and Samarahan, according to the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation, Housing Development Corporation, and Bintulu Development Authority. The project's focus is to calculate the type of house and associated costs within a budget accessible to the M40 income bracket, which is expected to be finalized soon. Premier Openg revealed that the state government will evaluate the pilot projects' outcomes before extending the model to other urban centers such as Miri and Sibu. DAP MP Oscar Ling had previously called for affordable housing projects in Sibu under the 13th Malaysia Plan, noting the absence of such homes in the constituency, where the sole affordable housing project under the housing and local government ministry was left abandoned in Sibu Jaya.",
