"account": "Lawyer Kofi Bentil has raised serious procedural concerns over the arrest of fellow lawyer Baffour Awuah, questioning the lack of a clearly stated charge against him. During an interview on JoyNews’ Newsfile, Bentil emphasized that when a person is arrested, the state must explain the reason for the detention. He noted that the arrest of Awuah, who had not been charged after several days, raised significant procedural issues. Bentil also expressed skepticism about the investigation, suggesting it could be a fishing expedition without a clearly established offence. He questioned why the matter had escalated to a criminal investigation, arguing that it appeared to be a civil dispute between a lawyer and a client. Despite his concerns, Bentil suggested the matter should proceed through Ghana's legal and institutional processes, affirming the country's democratic system's established institutions and their responsibilities.",
