"summary": "Two oil tankers were struck by unidentified projectiles near the Strait of Hormuz on Friday. The UK Maritime Trade Operations agency reported both incidents. The first vessel suffered a small fire and lost electrical power after being hit, but the fire was later extinguished and the ship resumed its journey.\n\nAccording to the UKMTO, there were no reported casualties or environmental impact from either incident. The agency said authorities were investigating the attacks. The Strait of Hormuz is a strategic waterway through which a significant portion of the world's oil and LNG passes.\n\nThe incidents occurred as tensions remain high in the region, with Tehran blocking the passage of commercial ships and firing on vessels it accuses of unauthorised crossings. Washington has responded with a counter-blockade of Iranian ports in an effort to prevent Tehran from exporting its oil, as reported by Business Recorder.",
