"summary": "Protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar continued at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on October 3. Hundreds of protesters, including political leaders and student activists, were detained during demonstrations in the capital. The protests, organised by the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP), Opposition parties, and student groups, demanded Kumar's resignation over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and concerns over voter deletions.\n\nAccording to AISA national president Neha Bora, another protest is planned for October 10 if Kumar does not resign. CJP leader Abhijeet Dipke stated that the group would hold the demonstration in Delhi on that date. The protests on October 3 saw participation from various groups, including AAP, Left parties, Congress youth and student wings, AISA, SFI, and NSUI.\n\nThe protests were marked by police deployment of thousands of personnel and barricades around central Delhi. In Delhi, hundreds of protesters were detained as security forces prevented demonstrators from gathering at Jantar Mantar, where prohibitory orders were in place. The CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke assured that any planned demonstration would remain peaceful and urged citizens who support free and fair elections to take part.",
