"summary": "The co-pilot accused of assaulting the captain of a flydubai flight, Hamam al-Hammami, was previously banned from flying in Oman due to concerns about his extremist views, according to multiple media outlets. The incident, which occurred on a Dubai-Tel Aviv route, involved the co-pilot assaulting the Indian captain but ultimately being overpowered by passengers and crew, leading to an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggested that the suspect had undergone Islamist radical indoctrination and attempted to crash the plane. Omani authorities reportedly banned the pilot from flying over concerns of his radical ideological views, citing his alleged indoctrination and potential exposure to radical groups in Syria.",
