"account": "A 28-year-old man, Joshua Kerry, has been charged with the murder of Ann Widdecombe, a former UK MP and Reform UK spokesperson, as well as preparing acts of terrorism against hard-right leader Nigel Farage, British police announced on October 3. The charges stem from alleged acts committed between May 31, 2024 and July 8, 2026. Widdecombe's death, found in her home at age 78, was ruled a blunt force injury to the head. Police stated the investigation into Kerry's charges has been ongoing and complex, involving multiple lines of enquiry by detectives, analysts, and forensic experts. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood expressed deep sympathy for Farage and his family, emphasizing that an attack on anyone in politics is an attack on all of them. Kerry was initially arrested on July 11, 2024, two days after Widdecombe's murder. He is scheduled to appear in a London magistrates' court on October 7.",
